Solving Homelessness The Church Council is deeply involved in finding a solution to the problem of homelessness in our community. It has been reported that over 8,000 people are without permanent housing in King County. <<Alert: Congregations Invited to Endorse 10-Year Plan to End Homlessness>> <<Are other cities passing us by in finding solutions to homelessness?>> Here's how the Council is currently engaged in the fight to end homelessness: The Committee to End Homelessness in King County. As one of its founding members, the Church Council has worked passionately to find a plan that is just, aggressive, and compassionate. The new 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness is now complete and is available by clicking here. Interfaith Task Force on Homelessness. The Council is a major supporter of this interfaith group that advocates for better housing county-wide. For more information about ITFH, click here. Eastside Cares. This group of housing supporters advocates for and supports homeless encampments on the Eastside.
