Did you know that on any given day 40 percent of the homelessness in our area can be linked to mental illness?

Our ministry is working in South and West King County to provide outreach to those who experience the life-fracturing effects of severe mental illness and are falling through the cracks, not receiving care or treatment. Some of these individuals are homeless, some are in jail, some are cared for by families desperate for support.

We also work with congregations to improve services for the mentally ill and their families. In partnership with religious groups and the mental health system we try to ensure that those in need receive education, companionship, spiritual support, church-sponsored housing, vocational opportunities and crisis referral.

Please contact us to find out more about how you can become involved in helping alleviate the pain of mental illness in our community, or visit us at our website: www.swmh.org.
