The Church Council works in three areas:

Unity - The Church Council represents more than 400 congregations and 15 denominations in the Seattle area. As a voice for the faith community, we speak up on social and economic issues and help lead efforts for positive change. Our ecumenical work provides opportunities and resources to congregations throughout the Seattle area.

Compassion - Whether moving a single mom from homelessness to hope or encouraging a troubled teenager to pursue his goals, the Church Council’s programs serve more than two thousand people in need each year. We provide human services in the areas of homelessness, youth development, mental health and compassionate care.

Action - Marches for peace. Coalitions for fair wages. Help for immigrants. Our Social Justice Ministry gives people a way to make a difference in the world. We track public policy and develop strategies for change. We educate congregations and help them organize. Our task forces address a range of local, national and international issues.
